Individual Corporate Officer Participation in the Community

As a publicly traded company with more than 3,000 stores, we have to decide where it is best to contribute money to the many worthy organizations that exist.

We've chosen to assist national groups such as Boys & Girls Clubs — through our RAC Room program — Big Brothers Big Sisters — through our yearly store fund-raiser to help pair children with mentors — and by outright donations to Feeding America to address the hunger issue in the United States. The RACommunity also lends a hand to education through its 35 yearly grants to Junior Achievement offices that teach financial literacy to children in grades K-12 at schools where at least 51% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our Make A Difference Scholarship gives 50 $1,000 scholarships yearly toward higher education.

The Random Acts of Caring program is our newest program in the RACommunity. The idea is to give an unexpected gift of merchandise or money to an unsuspecting nonprofit. Our co-workers enjoy their involvement in all of these Random Acts of Caring projects.
The Rent-A-Center corporate office does not consider
unsolicited grant requests for funding.
